Foolproof Gelatin Gummies
A simple, reliable way to make homemade gummies using real juice or herbal tea and grass-fed gelatin.
The result is a firm, clean-set gummy with no additives or synthetic thickeners.
Gelatin provides naturally occurring glycine and proline, supporting connective tissue, skin, and digestive function. When combined with vitamin- and mineral-rich liquids, it creates a straightforward, functional snack that sets cleanly and holds its shape.
These are perfect for all ages; I make chamomile and calendula gummies for my newborn babies when they start teething.
A consistent method that works every time, with minimal ingredients and no unnecessary steps.
Ingredients
2 cups cold pressed juice, herbal tea or liquid of choice.
3 tbsp grass-fed gelatin
Method
Pour the gelatin into a cup or small bowl and add ¼ cup of water over the top. Stir briefly and allow it to bloom for several minutes until thickened and fully absorbed.
Meanwhile, pour your juice or herbal tea into a saucepan and place over gentle heat. Warm until lightly simmering; avoid boiling aggressively.
Once warmed, remove from the heat and stir through the bloomed gelatin until completely dissolved and smooth.
Pour the mixture into silicone moulds, a lined tray, or glass dish. Transfer to the fridge and allow to set completely for several hours.
Store refrigerated.
