Grain-Free Porridge
This alternative for regular oatmeal porridge is full of essential fatty acids to keep you satisfied, nourish your hormones, and promote healthy brain function.
Serves 1
Ingredients:
1 cup milk of choice
1 teaspoon grass-fed organic ghee
3 tablespoons shredded coconut
3 tablespoons almond meal
1 tablespoon flaxseed meal
1 tablespoon hemp seeds
1 tablespoon raw cacao powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
3-4 fresh organic figs
Method:
Combine all ingredients except for the ghee and figs in a small bowl and soak in the fridge overnight.
In the morning, warm ghee in a saucepan over a medium heat. Add the porridge mixture and stir for 3-5 minutes until the porridge has thickened.
Pour the porridge into a bowl, serve with fresh figs or other fruit and enjoy!
